MyLoad Cookie Consent
Cookie consent banner, category preferences, retention settings, and privacy policy link controls.
Plugin purpose
Purpose: MyLoad Cookie Consent gives site owners a clear consent banner so visitors can accept all cookies, decline optional cookies, or open preferences before optional tracking is stored. Main function: the plugin stores consent in a browser cookie and local storage, then dispatches the myloadCookieConsentChanged JavaScript event so analytics or marketing scripts can react to the selected categories. Settings: use Settings > MyLoad Cookies to enable the banner, choose banner, floating card, or modal display, set top/bottom positioning, set consent duration in days, edit all visible copy, and set a privacy policy URL. Categories: necessary cookies are always locked on, while analytics and marketing categories can be shown, hidden, accepted, declined, or saved individually by the visitor. Integration: the plugin does not require a shortcode or widget. It renders automatically in the footer when enabled and licensed, and follows Myload theme variables for light and dark mode styling. Why it is necessary: modern websites often load analytics, marketing, checkout, session, and preference cookies. This plugin gives visitors a clear choice and gives site owners a controlled place to describe each category. Developer note: custom scripts should wait for the myloadCookieConsentChanged browser event and check the selected category before loading optional analytics or marketing tools. Licensing: external domains require an active Myload license for the myload-cookie-consent component. Without a valid license, the frontend banner and backend settings screen stay inaccessible.
